Every sentence has two parts.           
  ہر جملہ کے دو اجزا ہوتے ہیں

1: subject.                                    فاعل  

Definition:                                     تعریف

The word or group of words that we speak about in a sentence is called the subject.

یہ جملے کا وہ حصہ ہوتا ہے جس میں کسی شخص جانور کی جگہ کا ذکر ہوتا ہے اسے انگریزی میں فا عل کہتے ہیں

2: Predicate.                              مسند

The predicate of a sentence is the word or a group of words that tells us something about the subject.

                                       یہ جملے کا دوسرا حصہ ہوتا ہے جس میں فاعل کے بارے میں کچھ کہا جاتا ہے اسے انگریزی کہتے ہیں
Examples:                                          مثالیں
1. Ahmed is a subject.   
2. Is reading his book is a predicate
3. The cat is a subject
4. Was running after a rat is a predicate
5. Islamabad is a subject
6. The capital of Pakistan is a predicate
