Kinds of sentences:         جملے کی اقسام

There are 5 kinds of sentences.

جملے کی مندرجہ زیل پانچ اقسام ہیں 

1. Assertive sentences:              بیانیہ جملے

Definition.                                                تعریف

All kinds of sentences that provide us all the informations that called assertive sentences

ا سے جملے جو ہمیں کوئی اطلاع یا معلومات فراہم کریں

بیانیہ جملے کہلاتے ہیں یہ مثبت اور منفی دونوں قسم کا مفہوم ادا کرتے ہیں

Examples.                                               مثالیں

1. You eat mangoes.                      تم  آم کھاتے ہو

2. I am a student.                میں ایک طالب علم ہوں

3. He does not tell a lie.     وہ جھوٹ نہیں بولتا ہے

4. They are not playing cricket.

                                         وہ  کرکٹ نہیں کھیل رہے ہیں

2. Interrogative sentences:  

 سوالیہ جملے

Definition.                             تعریف

Sentences in which question has asked they are called interrogative sentences

ایسے جملے جن میں کوئی سوال کیا گیا ہو سوالیہ جملے کہلاتے ہیں

Examples.                                        مثالیں 

1. What is your name.               آپ کا نام کیا ہے

2. Where do you live.                 تم کہاں رہتے ہو

3. Are they working.            کیا وہ کام کر رہے ہیں

4. Were we talking.             کیا ہم باتیں کر رہے ہیں

5. Did he take lunch. کیا اس نے دوپہر کا کھانا کھایا

3. Imperative sentences: امر ونہی جملے

Definition.                                                تعریف

Sentences in which order or advice is given to someone that called imperative sentences.

ایسے جملے جن میں کام کرنے یا نہ کرنے کاحکم التجائیہ نصیحت پایی جائے امر ونہی جملے کہلاتے ہیں

Examples.                                             مثالیں

1. Open the door.                              دروازہ کھولو

2. Speak truth.                                         سچ بولو

3. Do not tell a lie.                         جھوٹ مت بولو

4. Do not go there .                             وہاں نہ جاؤ

5. Turn on the tap.                                نلکا کھولو

4. Optative sentences: دعاعیہ تمناءی جملے

Definition.                                                  تعریف

The sentences consist of wish and pray that are called optative sentences

ایسے جملے جن میں کسی خواہش یا اظہار پایا جائے ں

Examples.                                             مثالیں۔

1. May you live long.        اللہ تمھاری عمر دراز کرے

2. May you succeed in life. اللہ آپ کو کامیاب کرے

3. Would that I were teacher. کاش میں استادہوتا

4. Would that he come now.    کاش وہ اب آجائیں

5. Would that I were rich.         کاش میں امیر ہوتا

6. Would that she was my wife.

                                             کاش وہ میری بیوی ہوتی

5. Exclamatory sentences:

                                                    فجائیہ جملے 

Definition.                                            تعریف

Sentences that consists of the feelings of happy and sorrows.

ایسے جملے جن میں خوشی غمی حیرانی یا افسوس کا اظہار پایا جائے استعجابیہ یا فجائیہ جملے کہلاتے ہیں

Examples.                                             مثالیں

1. Hurrah! we won the match.

                                                  آہا ہم نے میچ جیت لیا

2. Alas they have lost the race.

افسوس وہ دوڑ ہار گئےن

3. How clear this water is یہ پانی کتنا صاف ہے

4. Brave go ahead                     شاباش آگے بڑھو
